Autumn's Baptism

Autumn was baptized on August 9th....after hearing there was going to be a baptism at church, she came to Randy and I and told us that she also desired to be baptized. Randy sat her down one evening and explained to her what it meant to be baptized.....Here are a few pictures from her special day...

First Day of School!

Well, the day finally arrived....two out of three of my children are now in school. What a strange feeling here at home! Randon actually seems kind of happy to have the house to himself! Autumn and Addy were so excited for today....it was a fun morning listening to them talk about school, and how excited they were....within five minutes of getting up, they were both dressed! Addy didn't even want me to walk her to her class, but I did anyway...I walked her to her class, and she found her assigned seat; the teacher had made name tags for them to wear. Autumn walked up towards her class, and found her good friend Hannah....so they wanted a picture together in front of the third grade sign. Enjoy the pictures. I'm looking forward to hearing about their day!

Fourth of July

Autumn and her friend Asa from school.

We had a good fourth of July...Mom came down for the weekend, and my special friend, Pat came for the night. We took the kids out to watch the big fireworks, then had a few of our own at home. Hope everyone had a good fourth of July with their families!

Addy's trip to the ER

Addy's hurt toe

Addy in a wheel chair....I think she was having fun!

Addy in the hospital bed waiting for her x-rays to be done....another perk to the ER.....laying in a hopsital bed

The finished product!

Addy had a little accident today with a glass vase. The girls had caught some grasshoppers a few days ago, and decided to let them go today......the glass jar accidentally was dropped, and Addy's big toe caught some of the glass. She was such a "tough" girl though.....she didn't even cry, well at first she did, but that was it.....I was surprised how well she handled herself at the hospital!
They took x-rays to make sure there was no glass, which there wasn't....cleaned it, and instead of using stitches, used an adhesive type glue to close the wound. The glue serves as a bandage and stitches.....I was thankful they didn't have to give her stitches......She was quite the trooper.

Spring Break

Randon, Autumn, and Addy at the Sanford Zoo

Randon and Addy at the beach

Autumn's spring break was this week. We did alot of neat things: Jungle Gym (an indoor play area), the park, family movie night at home, the beach, and today we went to the Zoo. The kids had a lot of fun this week. The zoo was especially fun. Randon had never been to the zoo (he absolutely LOVED it), and the last time we were at the zoo, Addy was only two years old.
I had a lot of fun with the kids this week. Randy felt up to going to the zoo with us today, so it was especially fun with Daddy!! :)

Randy gets his cast!

Today we went with Randy to his follow up appointment. The doctor said he was healing nicely, but they decided to go ahead and put a cast on since he'll be going back to work. I told him to get a pink cast, but he went with blue!
They did say that they had to make a larger cut than normal (sorry if the picture was too disgusting for you) since his hands were so thick....guess everything was very tight.
He has not had any numbness (sp?) since his surgery, which is very good news. He's still doing great!

Randy's Surgery

Randy had his first surgery yesterday for his carpal tunel. They operated on his left hand first...he'll go back next month to have his right hand done. He did great...he was quite a trooper. I'm amazed at how much he can accomplish with one hand!! Thank you for all your prayers....we arrived at the hospital at 5:30am, and were back home by 10:30am. Thanks so much to my Mom who drove down from Tallahassee to stay with the kids....thanks Mom, we really appreciate your help!
