Autumn's 9th Birthday

Autumn's 9th Birthday was January 24th, however, she decided to celebrate it the day before (which was Saturday...we're so busy on Sundays). Autumn asked if she could have a friend spend the night, however, one friend turned into four (but only one spent the night).....we took them bowling, then back to the house for cake and ice cream. Autumn had a fun day, and enjoyed all the goodies she received. I think one of her favorites was her sewing machine from Grandpa and Grandma Di (thanks guys, now she needs those lessons!! :).....)
Sunday night we had her birthday dinner...she picked crab legs (YUM -YUM).....we went to the grocery store and had 2 1/2 pounds steamed, and Autumn and I ate them ALL!!

Autumn is growing up, I had someone the other day tell me that I didn't look old enough to have a 9 year old (big compliment...they obviously weren't close enough to get a good look), time does fly, we just pray that the Lord will prepare us for the parenting challenges for the years to come!

The Birthday Girl

Randon helping with Addy's cupcakes!

Feb. 3rd was Addison's 6th Birthday. She woke up, and announced, "The birthday girl is up!" Addison seemed to be most excited about this birthday, than her birthdays in the past. She was looking forward to being six, being older, and being taller!! We asked her if she felt any older, and she said, "o'h, yes!" She also proceeded to tell me that she knew she was taller because she could see more of herself in the bathroom mirror! :)
We went to Ci-Ci's Pizza for dinner (just so happened that kids eat for 99 cents on Wednesdays, which was a bonus), Addy was sure to tell them it was her birthday, so they let her eat for free. There was also a clown there, and he stood Addy up on a chair, and had everyone sing Happy Birthday to her, it made the evening special.
Her big present was a brand new bike. She had never had a new bike, so this was especially neat for her....Autumn told her that it was brand new, and she said, "wow, you mean nobody has rode it before?"

It's amazing how fast they grow, I'm so blessed to be her Mommy, and pray that the Lord uses Addy for His kingdom!!
